Lead vocalist and guitarist from the famous band Maroon 5 and a coach on “The Voice”, Adam Levine is all set to launch his own record label called 222.
Mathew Morrison who is well known as the character Will Schuester from “Glee” is the first artist whose sophomore album will hit the market this spring under the label 222. Along with that Schuester has also been signed with Cameron Diaz in his upcoming movie “What To Expect When Expecting” releasing this May. Also he has been nominated for Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony awards this year.
Levine after kicking off his second season on “The Voice” said, “starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening”. He also said, “Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release.”
In response to which Mathew Morrison said, “Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together.”
Last year, in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Levine hit the top 10 as a soloist (as featured on Gym Class Heroes, “Stereo Hearts”) and also became the very first singer to have a number 1 song as part of a group (Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger”) on his credit.
