Since the year of 2007, Queens members had joined many side projects such as Them Crooked Vultures, Mini Mansions, and Hello Fire. But recently their guitarist, Dean Fertita had announced to Billboard that the band, Queens will be recording a new album in January 2011.

Fertita said, ‘Everybody is very excited getting to know the news. We had so many great ideas on mind and had started to work with them. So we just wait what will come out later and they should be everybody’s favorite. We are still a band but I think that everyone had find their own space and will express ourselves in this one and contribute the best.’

The Queens is created in the 90s after the split of Kyuss. They had released five studio albums until now. Few years ago, Queens had re-released the sophomore album, Rated R as a two CD deluxe edition which featuring their songs at the Reading Festival back in 2000.
